HERE COMES THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Shortform Docuseries | 8 Episodes | 2011

Produced by The Cinemart, Here Comes The Neighborhood began as a collaboration with the late urban developer Tony Goldman to document the early stages of transformation in Miami’s Wynwood district. What started as a short-form docuseries in 2011 evolved into a long-term creative partnership with the Goldman family and artists from around the world. Over the course of six years, The Cinemart continued capturing the neighborhood’s rapid evolution—from an overlooked industrial zone into a global destination for street art and cultural tourism. The expanded project, Walls of Change, draws from a deep archive of film and photography, featuring more than 25 of the world’s most influential street and graffiti artists, along with exclusive material from legendary photojournalist Martha Cooper. Through The Cinemart’s lens, the story of Wynwood is preserved as a case study in how art can lead urban revitalization.
