HOUSES

Feature Film | Scripted | 2015

Houses (2015) is a feature film produced by The Cinemart, set in the weeks following Hurricane Sandy. The story follows a struggling playwright, played by Nick Sandow, as he works to finish a new play while navigating tensions with friends, family, and his own creative frustrations.

Set against the backdrop of a city still recovering, the film explores how personal and professional lives can fray under pressure. With performances by Michael Imperioli and John Ventimiglia, the film takes a quiet look at how people cope—with loss, with each other, and with the need to keep moving forward.

Filmed in a naturalistic style, Houses reflects a period of uncertainty and change, using the aftermath of the storm as a subtle mirror for its characters’ internal struggles.
